The lovely ‘one owner from new’ Triumph Stag created quite a stir this week, causing a furious bidding war between buyers.
It just goes to show that originality and provenance remain high on the list of what people look for when buying a classic. Each and every vehicle has its own story to tell, I guess it’s part of the appeal to us enthusiasts!

With a V8 engine, iconic styling and a rich history, the AC Cobra is one of the true greats. Designed by the legendary Carroll Shelby, AC cars and Ford, the AC Cobra would go on to be a true giant killer on the circuit and spawn a loyal fan base which continues to this day.
Evoke currently has two Cobras live at auction. The Dax Cobra below has a Rover 3.5 litre V8 engine, Jaguar IRS running gear, has had just one former keeper and has been with our vendor since 2001. You can hear the engine from here…
The Ford Cortina Mk1 Lotus Recreation sold this week for £30,000 and hot on its heels we have a Ford Cortina Lotus Mk2 with a current bid of £9,000.
